This special drone you see above is the creation of a redittor by the name Olivier-FR. He combined a quadcopter with an aluminum and carbon frame to create a badass flying machine. He detailed his build step by step so that any enterprising Star Wars fan can attempt to build his own.
This is a video from Brazilian shirt store Camisaria Colombo in which they fitted a bunch of headless 2-D mannequins with their clothes, then attached them to hexacopters and flew them in front of the windows of Pao Paulo office buildings for "the executives that stay at the office all day long." ABC News (warning: auto-start video) quotes him: "A small private sailboat maneuvered really close to the whales, and this guy on it was literally sitting in that position and never moved," Smith said. "He could have been texting his mom in the hospital for all I know, but I thought it sucked that he missed such a wonderful moment happening just two feet in front of him."
The Popcorn Monsoon by Jolene Carlier which is a little appliance for making popcorn, and more fun. The conceptual device uses hot air to get the kernels popped, which is healthier than oil. And then the popped corn gets pushed up this bent plastic tube and falls into an awaiting bowl. Kids can watch as the snack gets made, and they may look forward to eating it despite it being bland as heck.
