In this video, NASA explains its process in figuring out what alien planets are like with the limited information it has.
"By observing periodic variations in the parent star's brightness and color, astronomers can indirectly determine an exoplanet's distance from its star, its size, and its mass. But to truly understand an exoplanet astronomers must study its atmosphere, and they do so by splitting apart the parent star's light during a planetary transit."

    Forever Pillow

Forever Pillow is a brilliant idea!
"Forever Pillow is not a regular loop, but it's in the shape of the Möbius strip. If you look closely you’ll notice it has a twist that creates a never-ending surface. This infinity concept inspired us to design a versatile pillow that can be used in endless possible ways when you twist and turn it."

USB Heated Futon Mouse Pad from Japan
    From the website:
No stick-your-hand-in-a-whale affair and no silly furry animals in sight.
Thanko has taken the best features of the kotatsuJapanese heated table and combined them into a Futon Mouse Pad, a USB-heated cover to keep your beavering hands toasty during the winter days at the office.
At first glance this looks just like the mattress and quilt that is so classically Japanese, but it's even more modern and practical than that.
It fits together with Velcro, so simple that you don't even need to be able to make a bed to work it.
Then just connect the USB cable to your computer, slip in your hand — and you will be super snug in no time.
It even reaches temperatures up to 50°C (122°F).
Just be careful not to overuse it and burn yourself!
The heater can also be taken out, so the "pillow" can be used just as a regular arm or wrist rest for hands weary from typing.
