This Could Be the Future of Military Helicopters

Built as part of AVX's bid for the US Army's lucrative Army's Joint Multi-Role Technology Demonstrator (JMR-TD) program, the AVX concept aircraft looks to supplement the roles currently played by Black Hawk, Apache, and Chinook helicopters. The dual primary rotors of this 27,000 pound concept aircraft are expected to provide enough lift to pick up 13,000 pounds of cargo (slung externally) or 12 fully-equipped combat troops in addition to 4 crew members while the stubby wings on the fuselage should generate up to 40 percent of the vehicle's lift when moving forward, supplementing the two ducted fans in the rear.

"We love reading your comments as it helps us understand what you like about our films and what you might like to see next. There is one theme that many fans have requested and it’s one that Simon would really like to make too – it’s the theme of going to the vet. Simon has been developing ideas around the vet theme for some time now. With so many ideas and gags, we feel this film deserves to be longer than our usual YouTube episodes and that this is the perfect opportunity to do something a little different!…That’s why we’re asking our fans to get behind us and help us make a film that we can all be proud of. ‘Off to the Vet’ will be made by the fans, for the fans!"
