2 Men Are Living in This Spinning House for 10
Gear | Projects

Two men are spending 10 days living in a home with a difference: it’s a 25-foot wooden wheel. It is an art installation and performance piece by Ward Shelley and Alex Schweder. The two collaborate in a medium that they call "performance architecture."
"This new work, In Orbit, continues in this vein with the wheel-shaped house. All its furniture and accommodations are fixed along its circumference. To bring the users the things they require during the day, they must walk in tandem to rotate the giant wheel. The artists will live in the structure 24/7 from February 28 through March 9, 2014. From that date until April 5, 2014, the end of the exhibition, the structure will remain on view in the exhibition space as an installation"

BitSoaps are made by an enterprising young couple who were ”fascinated by [the] concept and versatile utility” of the Bitcoin currency. So they decided to jump on its popularity and come up with soaps inspired by it. On their website, they explain: “Our love for nature and passion for exciting endeavors has drawn us to creating this project. A project that merged environmental mindfulness and digital currency. Marrying these polarized ideas has, therefore, given birth to BitSoaps."
BitSoaps are made in Southern California, and adhere to the soap maker's philosophy of "cherishing natural resources and contributing to technological progress." There are three kinds of BitSoaps to choose from -- Bitcoin Hemp Oil Soap Bar, Bitcoin Valentines Lavender Hemp/Castile Soap Bar, and Litecoin Castile Soap Bar Each coin–er, bar–is priced at $4.4.

The Star Wars Tauntaun Costume Hoodie from thinkgeek.
"When you’re cold, just unzip your cream and grey, 60% cotton / 40% polyester Tauntaun pal and climb inside. The Tauntaun’s face is printed on the hood, which comes complete with dimensional Tauntaun horns and ears. The 100% polyester satin lining looks like white Tauntaun intestines. (Who knew they were so smooth and silky?) Raglan-style sleeves and contrasting kangaroo pockets, plus a blue vinyl lightsaber zipper pull finish off this cutie."

Stunning photos of abnormal frogs in the series Reliquaries from Brandon Ballengee. More images after more.
"These reliquaries are created by chemically “clearing and staining” terminally deformed frogs found in nature. This process obscures direct representation- as I do not want to exhibit large images of “monsters”, which would be frightening and be exploitative to the organisms. This process is followed by high-resolution scanner photography of each specimen to create individual portraits."
