    The Smart Countertop Grill
    Home  |  Appliance
It kind of looks like a George Foreman grill, but that’s where the similarities end. See, the Cinder is a smart countertop grill. For one, it features a host of sensors that keep track of the heat generated by the non-stick cooking surfaces to within a quarter of a degree Fahrenheit, up to its surface-searing maximum of 550F. This, along with complex control algorithms, allows it to automate the entire cooking process. You simply toss your steak in there (the device automatically measures its thickness), launch an app on your phone and point to how you’d like it cooked. Cinder does the rest. Even better, it gives you an estimate to how long it’ll be before it’s ready so you don’t even have to stick around as it does its thing. Oh, and if you’re not ready when the timer runs out? No problem, Cinder can hold the steak at the perfect temperature for up to two hours! It’s the convenience of sous-vide cooking, with none of the bagging, water-soaking annoyances.  The company is taking pre-orders now for $500 with delivery in 2016!

    Know Your Enemy Xenomorph
    Home  |  Post
'Know Your Enemy: Xenomorph' by  illustrator Ryan Brinkerhoff of Bandito Design Co.
"The design process started with loose sketches. I wanted the design to fit in with the 80s vision of the future, so that meant 45 degree angles! Notched out corners on everything! The content I decided to include consisted of weapons, xeno life-cycle, and xeno physiology. This poster is intended to resemble something that Weyland-Yutani would pass out to the Colonial Marines as preparation for their mission. After all, it was a little more to handle than your average bug hunt."
