"For more than a year ago we’ve climbed Shanghai Tower certainly not expecting the resonance and the amount of feedback we’ve got. And so, that amount of feedback led us to an idea of making a tradition of roof toping new skyscrapers all around the world. Today’s hero of attention is a new financial center still under construction and is situated in Shenzhen, China. Right now its height is about 660 meters and that makes it the second tallest tower in the world. Right after Burj Khalifa in Dubai. "

Dave Mienert, a filmmaker, discovered a 4-week old Great Dane puppy. She was the handiwork of a backyard dog breeder. She had a genetic disorder that would leave her blind and deaf eventually. All of her littermates had died or been born deformed.
This was not a healthy pup, but Miernet adopted her and named her Pegasus. He wasn't sure how long he would have with his new friend and so decided to record it all.
Pegasus often walks on a treadmill. Miernet compiled these scenes into a time-lapse video showing the weak puppy growing into a strong adult dog. He says, "I still don’t know how long she is going to live, but right now is pretty great."

Amazingly Detailed Star Wars Scenes Formed from Single Sheets of
    Gear  |  Projects
These incredibly detailed, three-dimensional Star Wars scene is actually formed from just a single sheet of paper.  Artist Paper Dandy a.k.a. Marc Hagan-Guirey strategically cuts shapes,  then bends and folds paper to his will using an ancient art called kirigami. Hagan-Guirey describes his work to CNN:
"He picked some of his favorite scenes from the original Star Wars movies and carved them out of 8.27 by 11.7-inch sheets of paper: "I use an X-acto knife and I'm never frugal about saving fresh blades. A metal ruler and a cutting matt. That's it really. Oh, and a few skewers to pop out small sections.""
He’s started a kickstarter in hopes of displaying this art in a gallery exhibition titled “Cut Scene”.
It’s simply to produce the exhibition so that Star Wars fans can enjoy seeing the unique kirigami models in their physical form. Every penny will go towards making a better gallery experience.”

The Apple Watch Has Been Hiding a Secret Charging
    Gear  |  Apple
The Reserve Strap uses the hidden Apple Watch port to boost your Apple Watch’s battery life. A company  is developing a strap that could use that port to supply the watch with extra battery life. They say can boost the wearable's battery life by 125 percent.  It’s called the Reserve Strap and is currently at the prototype stage. It’s not known whether Apple will be happy with a third party developer using the diagnostic port; while Apple is encouraging development of straps, going so far as to provide official guidelines, they’re expecting the straps to vary the aesthetics, rather than improve core functionality. As for Reserve Strap, the team is already taking preorders for $249 through its website, even at this early prototype stage. As yet there's no estimated shipping date or production schedule.
