Young adults want quality of life
    Gear  |  Pic
Young people have stopped moving to coastal cities—they'd rather live well in Riverside or Pittsburgh than be poor in New York or San Francisco.
"The data back up the idea that there’s more nuance behind where young people choose to live than the simple draw of lucrative jobs. Bloomberg found that only 37 of the 50 biggest U.S. cities are affordable places for 18- to 34-year-olds to settle down:
Millennials do not earn half of what they would need to buy a home in cities like San Francisco, San Jose, and Los Angeles. Yet they’re not racing to the most affordable places they could live, either (Akron tops the list).
People in this age group are instead moving to places that fall somewhere in between the cheapest option available and the fanciest

A Palatka man said he snpped a picture of a raccoon on top of an alligator in the Ocala National Forest Sunday morning. Richard Jones said he and his family were walking along the Oaklawaha River watching alligators when his son walked through some palm fronds to get a good picture.
Jones told WFTV that his son had startled a raccoon, which stumbled into the water and hopped on top of the alligator nearby. "I snapped a lucky picture right when the gator slipped into the water and before the raccoon jumped off and scurried away. Without the context you'd think the raccoon was hitching a ride across the river. Pretty amazing."

Outside of the clothing, this picture looks as if it could have been taken yesterday, yet it is over 100 years old. These images are most-probably the first Colour Photographs of China, taken in 1912 by Albert Kahn. "In 1909 the millionaire French banker and philanthropist Albert Kahn embarked on an ambitious project to create a colour photographic record of, and for, the peoples of the world." . Throughout the years Kahn took hundreds of thousands of photographs, 72,000 of them in color.

    Gear  |  Bike
A new bike lock called Linka on Kickstarter, and the cool part about it is that it will unlock itself automatically when you walk up. It uses a smartphone app to sense your approach. Since the Linka lock is attached directly to the frame, you don’t have to do anything but press the power button on the lock three times and then walk away when you are at your location. If someone tries to walk off with your bike, an alarm goes off and you receive a mobile alert. It looks cool.

The 23 languages make up the native tongue of 4.1 billion people. We represent each language within black borders and then provide the numbers of native speakers (in millions) by country. The colour of these countries shows how languages have taken root in many different regions.  "
