Two men are spending 10 days living in a home with a difference: it’s a 25-foot wooden wheel. It is an art installation and performance piece by Ward Shelley and Alex Schweder. The two collaborate in a medium that they call "performance architecture."
"This new work, In Orbit, continues in this vein with the wheel-shaped house. All its furniture and accommodations are fixed along its circumference. To bring the users the things they require during the day, they must walk in tandem to rotate the giant wheel. The artists will live in the structure 24/7 from February 28 through March 9, 2014. From that date until April 5, 2014, the end of the exhibition, the structure will remain on view in the exhibition space as an installation"

BitSoaps are made by an enterprising young couple who were ”fascinated by [the] concept and versatile utility” of the Bitcoin currency. So they decided to jump on its popularity and come up with soaps inspired by it. On their website, they explain: “Our love for nature and passion for exciting endeavors has drawn us to creating this project. A project that merged environmental mindfulness and digital currency. Marrying these polarized ideas has, therefore, given birth to BitSoaps."
BitSoaps are made in Southern California, and adhere to the soap maker's philosophy of "cherishing natural resources and contributing to technological progress." "As I said, little Isaiah (son of my Wrecky minion Julianne - and resident of the Ninja Nursery, if you remember that!) was afraid of rocking on the AT-AT, even though he loved it and kept standing next to it and patting it. So to help him feel brave, I got him a Vader mask and cape. And, hey, never underestimate the power... of a Vader mask and cape:
Isaiah is rocked all the way forward here, so as you can see the bumpers really prevent it from going very far. (He didn't want to rock backward at all. Heheh.)

Snake Devours Crocodile After 5 Hour Battle

We have just reported the news of snake devours crocodile, today we updated a video of it.
"A snake fought, wrestled and then ate a crocodile whole following a dramatic five-hour long battle. The incident was captured on camera by author Tiffany Corlis at Lake Moondarra in Queensland, Australia. The snake - thought to be  python measuring around 10ft - constricted the croc to death, before dragging it to shore and eating it whole in front of a shocked crowd of onlookers."

The incident at Lake Moondarra, near Mount Isa, was captured on camera by local residents on Sunday. The 10-ft snake, thought to be a python, coiled itself around the crocodile and the two struggled in the water. Corlis told the BBC, "It was amazing! We saw the snake fighting with the crocodile - it would roll the crocodile around to get a better grip, and coil its body around the crocodile's legs to hold it tight. The fight began in the water - the crocodile was trying to hold its head out of the water at one time, and the snake was constricting it. After the crocodile had died, the snake uncoiled itself, came around to the front, and started to eat the crocodile, face-first." It was unbelievable!

Created by Liu Yang and Shi Xuekun, two developers from the Shaanxi province of China, who've created a robotic contraption that plays the game, and plays is well. Using a webcam, the swing arm of an old hard drive and a stylus, this machine manages to blaze through the pipes like nobody’s business.
"It uses a webcam to determine the amount of taps needed by the bird to move past the pipes. The robot's arm is made up of an old hard drive and equipped with the tip of a tablet computer stylus. The whole contraption is ingenious."

Using US census data, creator Brian Lee Yung Rowe has developed an interactive map showing how names have grown and waned in popularity in different states since the early 1900s. The interactive map can be found here.
Just put a name in the box, choose whether you want to look at male or female names, and press Go; there are more than 29,000 names available, including those that appear for both genders. Each state gets highlighted over time according to the proportion of the babies with that name.
