'Ping-Pong Go Round' is a  round table tennis in 1998 by Singapore-based artist Lee Wen.
"A round Ping-Pong table was made out of plywood. It was made up of 15 tabletops to be set up as doughnut shaped. The diameter was 6 meters across. Players play from inside to another player on the outside.
After constructing it, the table was set up for a day in a community center for play by casual visitors. It looked like a sculpture by itself and yet when it is being played it becomes a structure for a sport or game

    Incredible Turquoise Ice

    Incredible Turquoise Ice
    Gear  |  Pic
Siberian photographer Alexey Trofimov captured extraordinary scenes of sunshine and ice on Lake Baikal.  The turquoise blue ice shimmers like gemstones. Massive Lake Baikal is the oldest and deepest lake on earth. More pics after more.
"These unique frozen formations are in fact called ice hummocks. The knolls are created in part by pressure that develops gradually and unevenly in the layer of ice that covers Lake Baikal in winter. The physical make-up and temperature of the ice sheet then also become imbalanced, and hence the hummocks form and rise above the frozen surface."

    2015 Submarine Cable Map
    Gear  |  Pic
2015 Submarine Cable Map created by  TeleGeography.
"This year’s map pays tribute to the pioneering mapmakers of the Age of Discovery, incorporating elements of medieval and renaissance cartography. In addition to serving as navigational aids, maps from this era were highly sought-after works of art, often adorned with fanciful illustrations of real and imagined dangers at sea. Such embellishments largely disappeared in the early 1600s, pushing modern map design into a purely functional direction.
To bring back the lost aesthetic that vanished along with these whimsical details, TeleGeography referenced a variety of resources in the design process. One of the most invaluable was Chet Van Duzer’s Sea Monsters in Medieval and Renaissance Maps book, which provides arguably the most complete history of the evolution of sea monsters and map design from this period. Our final product is a view of the global submarine cable network seen through the lens of a bygone era

"Take another trip around the U.S. and parts of Canada through my eyes, with Adventure Is Calling II.
I was fortunate enough to spend several months this past summer traveling around the U.S. and parts of Canada, teaching workshops and shooting timelapse along the way. Since the trip was so similar to the year before, I thought it was fitting to dub this video as a sequel to Adventure Is Calling. This trip spanned just shy of 4 months, covered around 14,000 miles and led to this film, composed of nearly 20,000 still images."
