Mark Savory and Bill Johnson decided to created a Cucciolo 2005 Project, the modern interpretation of the Cucciolo, they use a 48cc 2-stroke single cylinder and the frame from a Schwinn single-speed pushbike. Gibbs Technologies and Lockheed Martin have teamed up to develop a family of high speed amphibious vehicles designed specifically for military operations. Gibbs Technologies would be aided by Lockheed Martin to make the Amphibious Combat Craft capable of traveling up to 45mph on water, 100 mph on land and transition from water-to-land or land-to-water in 5 seconds. Gibbs and Lockheed Martin would develop three military concept vehicles in different size and speed for various missions:
• The Amphibious Combat Craft ¨C Expeditionary (ACC-E) is a 20-foot amphibian capable 45 mph on the water and 80 mph on land;
• The Amphibious Combat Craft ¨C Riverine (ACC-R) is a 35-foot amphibian capable of 40 mph on the water and 65 mph on land; and,
• The Terraquad, capable of over 55 mph on the water and 50 mph on land.
