The Lit C-1 is a electric urban vehicle, combining the size of a motorcycle and durability of a car. The C-1 uses electronically-controlled gyroscopes to remain upright even in the case of an accident. It can be charged up in six hours, has a top speed of 120mph, and the battery provides enough autonomy for 150 to 220 miles. It will be available in 2014 and will sell for $12,000 to $16,000 (USD). Check out the video.
Wrote Jonathon Ramsey on autoblog, "The Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team has been using its drivers to open up the dark world of F1, and in this video Nico Rosberg demonstrates what we've long suspected: the driving position in a Formula 1 car is outrageous, with drivers reclined on a carbon-fiber gynecologist's table pretending to be a seat."
"Watch Nico explain finding a balance between comfort and weight. And how it's kind of hard to see above the wheel."
Dutch company PAL-V announced the first flights of its prototype "flying car". This unique vehicle is called the PAL-V One, or the 'Personal Air and Land Vehicle', and It marks the start of a new era. On the ground the vehicle drives like a sports car. Within minutes its rotor is unfolded and its tail is extended: then it is ready to take off thanks to the advanced gyrocopter technology.
"96 kW/131 hp on the front, coupled with a 164 kW/223 hp gasoline engine on the back, which accelerate the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
As far as fuel consumption goes, BMW claims 3 liters per 100 km (62 miles), with 30 kilometres (19 miles) of autonomy on electric power alone."
Powering the concept will be a plug-in hybrid system that uses a 1.5-liter turbo three-cylinder at the back and electric motor at the front. Combined output for the concept is supposed to be 349 horsepower. The i8 is also a plug-in hybrid that can travel 20 miles on electric power alone and take two hours to charge. The BMW i8 Spyder Concept is scheduled to be unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show.
"• Note: This disco ball helmet uses real glass, as it is intended as a costume piece (to be paired with a disco backpack, coming soon!). If you want it to be functional, acrylic mirror would be safer and lighter weight (though not as shiny and reflective)."
The W.O.W (Wonderful Open-hearted Wagon) Concept is all about helping you keep your pup at your side and have more fun together. Additional innovations include a lid in the instrument panel in front of the passenger seat that opens to reveal a crate for dogs! Mesh at the front and sides assures adequate ventilation, and its position facing the passenger seat makes it easy for you and your pup to keep an eye on each other as you ride.

"It's hard to imagine what led Pascal Prokop to install a wood-burning stove in his 1990 Volvo 240 station wagon. Though we're safe to say that the trend won't catch like wildfire. Prokob built and installed the wood-fired stove himself and got an operating permit from the Swiss technical inspection authority. "
BMW announced their ConnectedDrive Connect (CDC) semi-autonomous driving system, and has just released a new video of it in action. It uses four types of sensors, radar, cameras, laser scanners and ultrasound distance sensors, to stay aware of the car's surroundings. Check out the video.
"However, when the car senses it is behind a slowpoke, it looks for an open lane where it can safely merge at speeds up to 130 km/h (81 mph). If an opening is found, the system will steer the vehicle into that lane, pass the slower vehicle and return to its original lane.
As Dr. Nico Kaempchen explains, "Our main challenge was to develop algorithms that can handle entirely new situations. In principal, the system works on all freeways that we have mapped out beforehand with [a] centimeter accuracy." He goes on to say CDC ensures the car "adheres to all traffic laws" and sticks to the speed limit."

Almost every part of the car can interact with the internet. Almost every surface of the car is a touchscreen that can be adjusted by the driver, including color changes. Oh, and the car can drive itself.
