A German condom expert has developed a "spray-on condom" system in the form of a pump that squirts out liquid latex through a multitude of nozzles that cover the erect member with a latex sheath in a matter of seconds. The idea that by Jan Vinzenz Krause (Pic).
"If you go into a drug store to buy condoms, the ones they sell are mainly suited to men with the average penis length of 14.5 centimetres (5.51 inches), but a lot of people have penises that are smaller or larger than that," Jan Vinzenz Krause said.
Although he is aiming for a drying time of 10 seconds, it currently takes 20-25 seconds for the latex to dry. 25 second!!
As for cost, the spraying chamber will cost around EUR 15 to EUR 25 ($22-$36) and the liquid latex refills, which produce between 10 and 20 condoms depending on size, will be priced at between EUR 7 and EUR 10 ($10-$14).

Through an exclusive interview with Vanity Fair and Supertouch news, 7-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has confirmed that he will return to professional cycling in 2009 to compete in the Tour de France, really ?!
¡°I am happy to announce that after talking with my children, my family and my closest friends, I have decided to return to professional cycling in order to raise awareness of the global cancer burden. This year alone, nearly eight million people will die of cancer worldwide. Millions more will suffer in isolation, victims not only of the disease but of social stigma. After the passage of Proposition 15 in Texas, a $3 billion investment in the fight against cancer which is helping to make this disease part of the national dialogue in America, it¡¯s now time to address cancer on a global level.¡± ¡ªLance Armstrong

The 37-ton artwork has been billed as the largest and most spectacular piece of street theatre ever staged in the UK.
Created by French company La Machine, the installation cost £1.8million to bring to Liverpool ¨C and all but £250,000 of this was funded by the taxpayer.
The story behind the artwork is that French 'scientists' have arrived in the city to investigate it. They will use cranes to remove the animal off the tower block, before taking it to their 'research base' in Liverpool's new concert venue, the Echo Arena.
There, the creature will undergo a series of experiments, allowing the team to show off special effects using water, fire and artificial snow.
Organisers hope the spider will attract huge crowds, but onlookers appeared more bemused than enthralled. [ link ]

Intel demonstrated a wireless technology at IDF. Intel's wireless power technology involves a setup of two metal arrays -- resembling the rings of a planet -- connected to a power amplifer. Even though this sort of technology isn't new, Intel has gotten the highest efficiency so far of 75% for transferring 60 watts over two feet. No worries for us: The technology's currently safe for humans. Bad news is not yet for our gadgets. It seems Intel is well on their way to developing this into something usable.

For years, scientists have set their sights on creating bionic eye transplants to help the blind see. Yesterday they came a step closer after announcing they had made a camera that can reproduce human vision. Teams from Illinois University and Northwestern University, Illinois, cracked the problem by creating a hemispherical elastic membrane. This was flattened so the delicate electronics could be built on to it before it was allowed to spring back to its original shape. When the flexible mesh of silicon pixels joined by tiny wires springs back, the wires take the strain, leaving the delicate pixels intact. The mesh is transferred from the membrane to a curved glass lens to produce a fully-operational camera which can then be linked to a computer so its images can be viewed. [ link ]

Heart Robot, who has been programmed to react 'emotionally', depending on how he is treated, has brought out the bully in many of the visitors to a science event. The electronic puppet, created by scientists at the University of the West of England in Bristol, visibly relaxes in response to soothing, low sounds or a gentle touch. 'Heart Robot looks like a cross between ET and Gollum (from Lord Of The Rings)and is about the size of a small child. 'Different children react to him very differently. They either want to hug and cuddle him, and look after him like a doll or baby, or they just want to scare him.' The Pic: Cuddle me: Designer David McGoran and his creation Heart Robot which has a breathing belly and beating heart. And I just want to say that, it is not good-looking. [ link ]
