Today Boy Genius Report said that Apple will sell a $99(2-year contract) 4GB iPhone at Walmart, really?
"We just got a tip that in addition to the iPhone 3G actually making its way to Walmart, as we exclusively told you, there will be a 4GB model priced at $99 with a 2-year agreement. We're not putting our stamp of approval behind this one just yet as the tipster isn't listed in our BGR's Guide to respected Ninjas handbook, but it does make you think, doesn't it? Now, we all know Apple dropped the 4GB iPhone from its initial line-up, but that was at a $399 price-point. 4GB is certainly enough for some songs and short music videos, but let's not kid ourselves. Anyone looking to spend $99 on an iPhone probably doesn't care that much about storage anyway and they'll be more than happy to drop that amount for one of the best-selling smartphones in the country. Just don't hate us if this doesn't happen, we warned you. Thoughts?"

Nearly 1,000ft below the Chihuahua Desert in Mexico, there is a cave of Crystals. It is discovered by two brothers drilling in the Naica lead and silver mine. Up to 170 giant, luminous obelisks - the biggest is 37.4ft long and the equivalent height of six men. The giant obelisks are formed from groundwater saturated in calcium sulphate which filtered through the cave system millions of years ago. Because the crystals resemble giant icicles, the picture suggests it must be very cold inside the Cave of Crystals - but appearances can be deceptive. In fact, the temperature is a sweltering 112F, with a humidity of 90-100 per cent. The picutures looks amazing!! Click 2 enlarge.

"Users of the free application, which Apple is expected to make available as soon as Friday through its iTunes store, can place the phone to their ear and ask virtually any question, like ¡°Where¡¯s the nearest Starbucks?¡± or ¡°How tall is Mount Everest?¡± The sound is converted to a digital file and sent to Google¡¯s servers, which try to determine the words spoken and pass them along to the Google search engine.

"Fewer U.S. customers and venti-sized costs for closing poorly performing stores led to lower sales and profit in the fourth quarter at Starbucks Corp., the company said Monday.
Seattle-based Starbucks said profit in the quarter fell 97 percent to $5.4 million, or a penny a share, from $158.5 million, or 21 cents per share. If you remember the Iran's photoshop missile. The image, released on Wednesday, appeared to show Mr Kim in good health while inspecting two military units, to dispel rumors of ill health. 'Fake photo' revives Kim rumours, by BBC. Photoshop?
In the photo, the shadow cast by Mr Kim's calves runs in a different direction to the shadow cast by the soldiers on either side of him, the Times pointed out. In addition, a black line running along the stand on which the soldiers are positioned mysteriously vanishes on either side of Mr Kim - suggesting his picture may have been superimposed onto the image.
Such a suspicion was reinforced when a BBC designer examined a close-up, and discovered apparently mismatched pixels to the right of Mr Kim's legs.
The validity of some of other pictures has been questioned in the past. For example, one image released in October appeared to include lush foliage in the background that was incongruous with autumn.

We have seen the Honda the first walking assist device, if you remember it? Today Honda unveiled its second experimental walking assist device that helps support bodyweight to reduce the load on the user's* legs while walking, going up and down stairs, and in a semi-crouching position. Honda will now begin testing this device at its Saitama Factory starting this month, but I don't like its weird shoes.
"The new walking assist device with the bodyweight support system reduces the load on leg muscles and joints (in the hip, knees, and ankles) by supporting a portion of the person's bodyweight. The device has a simple structure consisting of seat, frame, and shoes, and the user can put it on by simply wearing the shoes and lifting the seat into position. Moreover, a mechanism that directs the assisting force toward the user's center of gravity and the ability to control the assist force in concert with the movement of the legs ¨C both unique Honda innovations ¨C make it possible for the device to provide natural assistance in various postures and motions." Postdoctoral researcher Carlos Camara and researchers have shown that simply peeling ordinary sticky tape in a vacuum can generate enough X-rays to take an image - of one of the scientists' own fingers.
"At some point we were a little bit scared," says Juan Escobar, a member of the research team. But he and his co-workers soon realized that the X-rays were only emitted when the kit was used in a vacuum. "We don't want to scare people from using Scotch tape in everyday life," Escobar adds.
This kind of energy release ¡ª known as triboluminescence and seen in the form of light ¡ª occurs whenever a solid (often a crystal) is crushed, rubbed or scratched. It is a long-known, if somewhat mysterious, phenomenon, seen by Francis Bacon in 1605. He noticed that scratching a lump of sugar caused it to give off light.
The leading explanation posits that when a crystal is crushed or split, the process separates opposite charges. When these charges are neutralized, they release a burst of energy in the form of light.
As long ago as 1953, a team of scientists based in Russia suggested that peeling sticky tape produced X-rays. But "we were very sceptical about the old results," says Escobar. His team decided to look into the phenomenon anyway, and found that X-rays were indeed given off, in high-energy pulses.
