"974 runs of the custom Super Mario Bros Time Trial level collected at Gamescom 2013.
There was a 3 second penalty for dying which explains all the frozen Marios. Also note that enemies and objects may not appear synced to the players - that is due to the way Mari0 (and the original SMB) works.
Best time (blue Mario): 41.32 seconds"
Abel Alves has created a playable retro platform video game based on the Game of Thrones TV series and books. The game uses the software Arcade Game Studio. The 8-Bit Game foregoes telling George R.R. Martin's entire story, instead focusing on four characters as they battle their way through key moments in the saga. The official trailer above. The 8-Bit Game can be downloaded for free right here.
"In this game you will play with 4 different characters of the TV show ( and books, of course ), each one with different attacks and habilities, through 4 levels full of enemies and challenges, based on different parts of the saga."

Globacore, a creative technology company, they bring the new Paperdude VR game using next generation virtual reality headset the Oculus Rift combined with a real bike and Microsoft Kinect motion controller. Dubbed Paperdude VR, this work-in-progress is a first-person homage to Atari's 1984 classic, Paperboy. Watch the video of it in action. In the video, a player rides a stationary bike and attempts to toss newspapers into peoples' mailboxes.
They explains, how the Paperdude VR game was created:
“PaperDude VR is built in Unity with 3D assets created in 3D studio and textured in Photoshop. The KickR sensor detects the speed of the bike and has the ability to provide programatically controlled resistance. The KickR communicates speed and cadence through bluetooth to a nearby iPad which updates our app over OSC.
The Oculus Rift VR headset lets you look around your scene in a full 360 degrees and allows you to focus your newspaper aim. The Kinect controller tracks the positions of your hands and arms, and detects the paper-throwing gesture.”
"Batman: Arkham Origins features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline occurring several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City's most dangerous villains and assassins, the game showcases a young, raw, unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight."
A company called Virtuix, developed the Omni, an omnidirectional treadmill controller for virtual environments. The company has shown off support for games including Crysis Warhead, Team Fortress 2, and Skyrim in a series of YouTube videos, but we're told that the device will work with all PC games when it's released. Virtuix is aiming to launch a Kickstarter campaign for the Omni around the end of May or the beginning of June, and it's targeting a price of $400-600 for the device. Watch the videos after more, it looks cool!

Sony has announced the new PlayStation 4. The new PS4 is based on a "supercharged PC architecture," with an x86 processor, an 8-core combined CPU/GPU and 8 GB of unified GDDR5 memory, 802.11n WiFi, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI. The controller is called the DualShock 4, features the Vita-style touchpad and a light bar on the back to identify players. Each PS4 will contain a 3D camera to track the various controllers using the bar. The power allows for 30,000 polygons to be rendered in real time (by way of comparison, Heavy Rain on the PS3 utilized 15,000). "Overall, our goal has been to architect the system to support a breadth of experiences," said Cerny. The PS4 to launch later this year.
