Jenga Pistol

Array
Gear  |  Gaming
Jenga is a game of physical and mental skill, in which players remove blocks from a tower and put them on top. Matthias Wandel has made a wooden Pistol for Jenga. Called the Jenga Pistol. The Jenga Pistol is able to shoot Jenga blocks out from the Jenga tower so quickly that the layer of blocks on top fall down and do not cause the tower to fall. (watch the video!)
"The pistol works by hurling a wooden captive bolt forward inside the pistol, powered by rubber bands. The bolt has a pin on the front, which protrudes out of the muzzle of the gun by about 2 cm at most. This is enough to transfer the momentum of the bolt to the Jenga block in front of the gun, not unlike how the game of croquet works. "
If you want to build one, check out here, show you step by step building a Jenga pistol.

Mini-Mote and Nunchuk

Array
Gear  |  Gaming
If you remember Dhreck's Hemp-mote? Today the crazy Dhreck has brought his new Mini-Mote and Nunchuk. Dhreck has modified a normal Wii mote and Nunchuk in a minimizing size, a very minimalistic mod(as his word, I don't know why he do this modifications). Cool? Maybe not?
"That said, while minimizing all contact would obviously be best, in reality I've dropped, prodded, miss-glued and over-filed more than sheer accident would allow for (to the point of seeming entirely too intentional) but lo and behold - they live.
Part 1 deals with the making of a trimmed down Wii-mote base that can act as a starting point for more complicated mods.
In Part 2 I'll focus on taking that base and making it into the Mini-mote & Nunchuk, a very minimalistic mod."
