The PowerMonkey is a fat, water-resistant, tubular unit that holds a rechargeable battery(2200mAh). It included the LED display that indicates the power status(I like this design). The PowerMonkey can connect via USB to your computer or sockets, but can link directly to the folding 'solar slave' for power from the sun. The solar slave can also connect directly to your gadgets. It can connect in your cellphone, PSP, iPod and iPhone. If you gadget isn't covered, their site included list of extra power tips, covering a wide range of devices, costing a reasonable £2.50 each. The PowerMonkey takes 3.5 hours to charge via mains power, six hours via USB, and a sluggish 18 hours via solar panel.
