HTC Droid Eris available on Verizon today

Today the HTC Droid Eris is available alongside the Motorola Droid(Android 2.0) in Verizon stores. It is running the Android OS 1.5 system and it is cheap for $99.99 with a two-year contract. Features includes a 5 megapixel camera with video recording and uploading capabiliti, 3.2-inch capacitive display, 3.5mm headphone jack, and microSD expansion up to 16GB. The latest news, HTC plan on bringing Android 2.0 to Droid Eris when they are ready for it.

I have a E71 now. Compared to the E71, Nokia E72 is upgraded the camera to 5 megapixels, and added a standard 3.5 mm audio jack. The E71 user will be pleased to see that Amazon now has the unlocked North American version of the "zodium black" phone listed for $469. Samsung has announced a cameraphone today, the SCH-W880, it is a 12MP camera with a 3G phone. Featuring with 3x optical zoom, 720p video recording, WiFi, GPS, dedicated camera controls, and a 800 x 480 3.3-inch AMOLED display. Other features include touch auto focus(makes use of the touchscreen to let you choose focus areas), image stabilization, Smart Auto (automatically selects the scene according to environment) and face detection. It will come to the Korean market in October.

The Palm Pixi($TBA holiday 2009) is officially announced. It still runs webOS and featuring a 2.63-inch multi-touch screen(320 x 400), a full QWERTY keyboard, 2 megapixel camera (with flash), 8GB of storage, GPS, the accelerometer, but no Wi-Fi, and a stand 3.5mm Jack. The Pix is is slightly lighter than the Palm Pre. Like the Pre, the Pixi runs on the Sprint network.

Nokia has launched the X6 phone. The Nokia X6 has a 3.2-inch touchscreen and 32GB of storage, the iPhone's new competitor?
