Monowalker Bicycle/Hiking Trailer

Array
Gear  |  Bike
This Monowalker Bicycle Trailer follows you, wherever you want to go to. The Monowalker for hikers who want to hike without weight on their shoulders, its smart geometry, you only carry half of the weight of your equipment on your hips, because all the remaining weight is on the back wheel. If you want to stop, in order to take a deep breath, you can relax and just lean back because the disk brakes will hold you and the baggage.
"You are not restricted in moving while pulling it, because the MONOWALKER has a special hipbelt. Therefore, one-sided impact on shoulders, neck or back diminishes. Additionally, by going uphill and downhill, your knees become released, because you are carrying only half the weight of your equipment. On downhill routes, the brakes help you, because you can choose to pull the disk brake, so that it makes the trailer move slow constantly. "

Gear  |  Bike
The Hauler($2660+) is an all-terrain, mountain-bike style recumbent tricycle, which sports its own solar panel powering an onboard motor that provides electric assist riding. The Hauler can carry a load of up to 300 pounds(plus the safety of a 50 degree rollover angle), can hit speeds in excess of 20mph. (Note: the Hauler blog)
"The Hauler's drive system utilizes 26” drive wheels, a high degree rollover angle, massive clearance, heavy-duty suspension and agile steering, allowing this beast to move loads over the harshest terrain. Substitute street tires for the gnarly knobbies, and the Hauler's powerful motor, dual drive wheels and excellent sight lines will power you through any urban adventure.
Even while heavily loaded the Hauler is easy to pedal and can climb up and over hills and obstacles under human power alone, while adding a little juice obtained from the solar panel or a power socket will allow riders to rally up hills and cruise at speeds up to 20 mph with ease. "

Bicycle Rush

Gear  |  Bike
Morning rush hour in the 4th largest city in the Netherlands. Streets look like this when 33% of ALL trips are made by bicycle!
This is an ordinary Wednesday morning in April 2010 at around 8.30 am. Original time was 8 minutes that were compressed into 2 minutes, so everything is 4 times faster than in reality. The sound is original.
For those who frown upon the total absence of bike helmets in this video, consider these findings from a US study:
"Cycling in the Netherlands is much safer than in the USA. The Netherlands has the lowest non-fatal injury rate as well as the lowest fatality rate, while the USA has the highest non-fatal injury rate as well as the highest fatality rate. Indeed, the non-fatal injury rate for the USA is about 30 times higher than for the Netherlands.

And I love cycling!
