Gregory deGouveia has bulit a bike with awesome car wheels!
Said Degouveia, "The Kitten took me about a week for the frame and wheels. The headlights and brakes took about another week. The Kitten was built because the wheels were free. It's excessive and inefficient — it's sort of the anti-bike."

Simply for holding onto while you wait for the light to change. It's located on a little Copenhagen traffic island where cyclists wait the light. A high railing to grasp with your hand and a foot railing for putting your foot up. The foot rest reads: "Hi, cyclist! Rest your foot here... and thank you for cycling in the city." Cool, a good idea!

MIT researchers will debut the Copenhagen Wheel - a revolutionary new bicycle wheel that not only boosts power, but can keep track of friends, fitness, smog and traffic. The Wheel can store energy every time the rider puts on the brakes, and then give that power back to provide a boost when riding uphill or to add a burst of speed in traffic. It also maps pollution levels, traffic congestion, and road conditions in real-time.
    SENSE and SUSTAINABILITY
Controlled through your smart phone, the Copenhagen Wheel becomes a natural extension of your everyday life. You can use your phone to unlock and lock your bike, change gears and select how much the motor assists you. As you cycle, the wheels sensing unit is also capturing your effort level and information about your surroundings, including road conditions, carbon monoxide, NOx, noise, ambient temperature and relative humidity. Access this data through your phone or the web and use it to plan healthier bike routes, to achieve your exercise goals or to meet up with friends on the go. You can also share your data with friends, or with your city - anonymously if you wish thereby contributing to a fine-grained database of environmental information from which we can all benefit.

The Outlier Pivot Sleeve Shirt($120) is made for the cyclist who goes to work by cycle.
"The basic challenge was straightforward, when you lean forward on a bike a buttondown shirt stresses. It pulls uncomfortably taut across the shoulders. The sleeves pull up exposing your wrists to the cold, and the tails pull out of your pants, leaving you either untucked or with a blooming blouse of a shirt. Our solution is the patent-pending Pivot Sleeve, a completely reconstructed buttondown that retains the traditional look and feel of a dress shirt while working equally well both on and off the a bicycle."

Dosun J-1 Safety Pedal($40)'s light powerd by micro generators in the pedal, the pedals can keep 90 seconds constant flashing after 30 seconds' pedaling (1 second, 1 revolution). It has eight LED lights per pedal, embedded in the corners in each pedal, front and back, but because they are all red you might have legal trouble in some countries where the forward facing light should be white. And they are rain proof, even workable on the heavy rains. A good idea!

The PedalPowerr+ system can help recharge the arsenal of battery-powered accessories modern cyclists' rely on for communications, navigation and entertainment - on the fly. Devices like GPS units, mobile phones, digital cameras, MP3 players and mobile phones require 5V up to 600mA, DC input to recharge them. The power generated by an AC dynamo(uses either a bottle dynamo (pictured above) or a hub dynamo), and turns it into a safe DC source where the current is regulated and the voltage is consistent enough for electronic devices to be recharged..
"Today's riders have a far greater need for portable energy than pervious generations who simply used dynamos for lighting. In addtion to this tradtional use, riders need a source of energy to recharge GPS, mobile phones, MP3, iPod and iPhone to name but a few The PedalPower+ system does it all". said PedalPower+ managing director and the product¡¯s inventor, Nicholas Kidd.
