Lamborghini Estoque Concept

It is a Lamborghini like no other before it: It is a four-door sports car ! Lamborghini Estoque is a study, a concept created specifically for the 2008 Salon d'Automobiles in Paris. It sits extremely low at just 1.35 meters (4.43 feet) high, but still has plenty of interior space for all four passengers. Lamborghini states that no official decision has been made regarding production, but did hint that the Estoque could lead to a third model in the lineup with numerous engine possibilities including the V10 from the Gallardo LP560-4, a turbocharged V8, a V8 with a hybrid mode, or even a high-performance TDI. It is debuting at the 2008 Paris Motor Show on Thursday, October 2, now.

Mercedes SLR McLaren 722S Roadster

The new Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster 722 S opens up astonishing dimensions when it comes to open-top driving. Delivering 478 kW/650 hp, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and a maximum speed of 335 km/h, this two-seater cabriolet surpasses the existing benchmark among open-top super sports cars ¨C the SLR McLaren Roadster. Feature included a fully retractable folding soft top capable of withstanding the high speed and are made of carbon fibre. Only 150 examples of the 722 S Roadster will be made available starting Jan. 1 2009.

2009 Lotus Evora

Project Eagle has finally been unveiled today at the 2008 British Motor Show as the Evora, and Lotus is beaming over its little eaglet. It is mid-engined 2+2. Powered by a Lotus-tuned 3.5-litre V6 engine producing 280 PS, and weighing just 2,976 lbs. The Evora promises breathtaking performance. During preliminary testing around the famous N¨¹rburgring, the Lotus chassis engineers report that it is extremely agile and great fun to drive - even when clad with the full development disguise that hid the beautiful lines from the prying motor-industry paparazzi. The car will start hitting dealerships in the U.K. in the spring of 2009, with only 2,000 made and priced at £45,000 apiece.

Scorpion Hydrogen Sportscar

The gas is expensive today. The first vehicle ever to come standard with a water-fueled hydrogen on demand unit. Now the Ronn Motors unveiled the Scorpion Hydrogen Sportscar, features hydrogen "on demand" technology. Without the hydrogen fuel injection system(Produces hydrogen during vehicle operation through electrolysis of water using the power generated from the vehicles electrical system.) installed, the Scorpion reaches 27 mpg. With it, it can can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and achieve 40 mpg. The first of 190 of these limited run Scorpions rollout in October 2008. [ more pics see here ]

Scotland Supercar - Falen

Scotland has just unveiled its first supercar - Falen. It features constructed of carbon fiber and with a hinged greenhouse like a jet fighter. Currently a digital prototype, it will sport a 800 horsepower, 5.5-litre V10 Judd engine . Measuring less than 4.2 metres long, the Falen is shorter than a Porsche 911 and is aimed at trackday nthusiasts. The prototype is expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March of 2009, and only four will be built. You can see development progress at Dowdeswell & Hardie's website.

2009 Ferrari California

2009 Ferrari California revealed early. It will be powered by a 4,300 cc V8 engine, it generates 460hp at 7,500 rpm. From 0 to 100 km/h(62 mph) in less than 4.0 seconds. It is a folding hard top and the chassis and bodywork are aluminum and the engine is mated to the seven-speed dual clutch gearbox controlled by the F1-Trac traction control system from the 599 GTB Fiorano. It will be debut in October, at the Paris Motos Show.

BMW M1 Hommage

This weekend, BMW took the wraps off a new show car called the M1 Homage at the Concorso d'Eleganza at Hotel Villa d'Este to commemorate 30 years since the launch of the M1 supercar, which has been discontinued since 1981. Mercedes-Benz's New AMG F1 Safety Cars

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new AMG Safety and Medical cars that will stand watch over every F1 race this season. The CLK Safety Car of last year has been retired, and in its place is a modified SL 63 AMG. Changes include larger cooling ducts in unique front fascias, extra coolers for engine, differential and transmission oil along with power steering and coolant fluid, ceramic front brake discs for increased fade resistance, and lighter overall weights to offset the extra equipment necessary for the cars' duties.The 525-horsepower SL63 Safety Car will be driven by 36-year-old Bernd Mayländer. Pontiac Solstice Targa

In Octorber 2007, The news reported General Motors is planning to introduce a Targa version of the Pontiac Solstice in the first half of 2009. The Targa is rumored to begin production in January of 2009 at GM's Wilmington plant, with about 10,000 units being built annually. Ariel Motor Company's Atom series sports car, it is a street legal sports car in kit form. Looking something more like a Formula One race car, it desiged for the performance, and only performance, in mind. They latest model is the Atom 3. It features 0-60 mph : 2.7 seconds(making it faster than a McLaren F1, Ferrari Enzo or Porsche Carrera GT and nearly as fast as the Bugatti Veryon); Top Speed: 140 mph, 225 km/h (155 mph, 249 km/h supercharged); Power: 220 bhp (300 bhp supercharged); Transmission: Honda six-speed with reverse. Lexus LF-A Roadster

The prtty concept sport car by the Lexus. This Japanese luxury automaker revealed a roadster variant of the popular conecpt car. The LF-A premium sports car concept. Power comes from a V10 under 5.0 liters with something north of 500 horsepower, and shifting is done via a sequential transmission with paddle shifters. I love its beautiful interior and shine color. 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLK

The 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLK, the SLK models of 2008 are even more dynamic and now offer an even more emotionally charged driving experience. Key visual enhancements include new-look front and rear sections line with the style of an F1 car's nose, as well as a meticulously modified interior with a new instrument cluster and three-spoke sports steering wheel.
