The XR3, its back, so Cool! The XR3, a three-wheeled plug-in hybrid that achieves 125 mpg on diesel power alone, 225 mpg on combined diesel and electric power. It can carry two-passenger in this three-wheeled hybrid. It is designed to be as light as possible. At just 1480 pounds, this high-performance design combines fast acceleration, and featuring its hybrid system allows for 200 mpg. The Transporter TW(Twin Wheel) is based around an electric engine which produces a magnetic field to drive the large wheels. The wheel rims are suspended over a superconducting fluid where the changing magnetic field produces the motion needed to propel the vehicle. The WorldFirst F3 race car is powered by chocolate, and features body made from potatoes, and a steering wheel made from carrots and other root vegetables, a flax fibre and soybean oil foam racing seat, a woven flax fibre bib, plant oil based lubricants and a bio diesel engine configured to run on fuel derived from waste chocolate and vegetable oil. And it can go 125mph round corners and cleaning the surrounding air as it drives! The WorldFirst F3 race car is developed at the University of Warwick's Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre. GM and Segway are developing an electrically powered, two-seat prototype vehicle that has only two wheels. The Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility Project(P.U.M.A.) is a self balancing two-wheeled vehicle can reach the top speed of 35 mph(Segway's top speed at 12 mph). P.U.M.A. has an lithium battery that allows to travel for up to 35 miles on a single charge and it also with the vehicle-to-vehicle communications for reducing the risk of accidents and regulating the flow of traffic. No word on price, but it will cost about one-fourth to one-third of a a regular automobile. "And imagine doing this for one-fourth to one-third the cost of what you pay to own and operate today's automobile." said Larry Burns, GM vice president of research and development. The P.U.M.A. project will make its official debut at the New York Auto Show this week.
