This is the US map of each state's favorite Christmas movie, created by the folks at CableTV.com, who "collected the top-rated yuletide films as rated over at AMC, and cross-referenced them with Google Trends state data from the past 10 years." Is it accurate?

21-year old Czechoslovakian man Marek H. took some LSD while in Poland to self-medicate for his depression, and boy did it work. He turned into a Siberian tiger and spent eight hours naked in the woods traveling over fifteen miles on all fours while following "the scent trail of his prey" that he'd picked up. Definitely hard to be depressed when you're a wild tiger.
"Marek confessed to police that he had taken the hallucinatory drug LSD.
He said it started to work immediately and that he felt he had become a Siberian tiger.
Moreover, Marek told them that this was when his "true personality woke up".
But his antics were captured by the hidden cameras - which had been expected to pick up a different kind of 'wildlife'.
Police said that, because the man did not have any drugs with him, he was only fined and will not face any further charges

These are several shots of Nelson the hedgehog. Nelson lost all his spikes and hair. He was found and taken to the Foxy Lodge Wildlife Rescue in Norfolk, UK, where he now resides because he's too vulnerable to predators in the real world.
''We will likely never know what caused him to lose his hair and spikes,'' Tonia Garner, the manager at Foxy Lodge told Metro. ''He's a mystery but to have survived into adulthood he must have had prickles and his health is very good other than the fact he is bald.''
Volunteers at the sanctuary guess that Nelson's condition is due to stress-related alopecia he got after experiencing some sort of trauma in the wild. All of his spines fell out without growing back.
Staff was hoping the spikes will reappear, so everyday they massaged the little fellow with almond oils to stimulate growth. Unfortunately, this didn't help. They still continue to massage Nelson on a daily basis, because the hedgehog seems to enjoy his SPA sessions - it keeps him warm and his wrinkly skin soft and smooth.

That sounds like living the dream. That also sounds like somebody caught wind of this Foxy Lodge Wildlife Rescue and decided to shed their spikes and go live the easy life.

"This composite image shows suspected plumes of water vapor erupting at the 7 o’clock position off the limb of Jupiter’s moon Europa. The plumes, photographed by NASA’s Hubble’s Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph, were seen in silhouette as the moon passed in front of Jupiter. Hubble’s ultraviolet sensitivity allowed for the features -- rising over 100 miles (160 kilometers) above Europa’s icy surface -- to be discerned. The water is believed to come from a subsurface ocean on Europa. The Hubble data were taken on January 26, 2014. The image of Europa, superimposed on the Hubble data, is assembled from data from the Galileo and Voyager missions. "
"Europa's ocean is considered to be one of the most promising places that could potentially harbor life in the solar system," Geoff Yoder, the acting associate administrator for NASA's Science Mission Directorate said in a statement. "These plumes, if they do indeed exist, may provide another way to sample Europa's subsurface." [ Nasa link ]

This is a map highlighting the most lewd sounding town name in each US state.
"In order to make things right, we’ve created a new map using only the lewdest, most sexualized town names. To do this, we placed our minds in the gutter and spent days looking over detailed maps and scrutinizing the names of all cities, towns, and unincorporated communities for anything that sounded even remotely sexual or perverse. For the sake of time, we intentionally omitted natural features like Little Dick Lake in Minnesota, as well neighborhoods, such as Mianus in Connecticut. "
Keep going for the entire list of all the dirty sounding town names that didn't get first place.

NASA’s Juno spacecraft flew closer to the giant planet than any spacecraft ever, revealing stunning images and gathering detailed information about the planet for NASA scientists.
The record-breaking mission was launched five years ago, and the spacecraft has travelled 1.8 billion miles to reach Jupiter’s orbit.
NASA's Juno mission successfully executed its first of 36 orbital flybys of Jupiter today. The time of closest approach with the gas-giant world was 6:44 a.m. PDT (9:44 a.m. EDT, 13:44 UTC) when Juno passed about 2,600 miles (4,200 kilometers) above Jupiter's swirling clouds. At the time, Juno was traveling at 130,000 mph (208,000 kilometers per hour) with respect to the planet. This flyby was the closest Juno will get to Jupiter during its prime mission.
"Early post-flyby telemetry indicates that everything worked as planned and Juno is firing on all cylinders," said Rick Nybakken, Juno project manager at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
There are 35 more close flybys of Jupiter planned during Juno's mission (scheduled to end in February 2018). The August 27 flyby was the first time Juno had its entire suite of science instruments activated and looking at the giant planet as the spacecraft zoomed past.

The Juno spacecraft launched on Aug. 5, 2011, from Cape Canaveral, Florida, and arrived at Jupiter on July 4, 2016. [ NASA ]
