The Spinali Design Essential jeans. The jeans can connect to a phone's GPS app via Bluetooth and vibrate either the left or right leg to let you know which way to turn so you don't have to look at your phone. They can also vibrate to let you know that you've got a text or email...
"But the most interesting feature of the Essential smart jeans is also the most controversial. It's called the 'ping' and it basically allows you to make another wearer's jeans vibrate when you want to get their attention. "This is useful for when you want to discreetly attract someone's attention, or for open offices, or for students," Spinalli claims. I guess you can say this gives the phrase "getting into someone's pants" a whole new meaning.
The Essential jeans have a built-in, non-removable battery that the French company claims should last four years if you use the GPS feature once a week. If you use it less than that, it should last more."

Keep going for a weird video.

Aira is designed to make life a little easier for blind and visually impaired people. Using a pair of smart glasses or a phone camera, the system allows an Aira agent to see what the blind person sees in real-time, and then talk them through whatever situation they're in.
Aira doesn't replace existing assistance systems. Instead, it's designed to enhance them. A blind person navigates the world using whatever tools they normally do, such as a cane or guide dog, and only calls the Aira agent when needed. When the agent picks up, he or she sees a live video feed and the location of the person calling on Google Maps, alongside general biographical information.
Aira is available in full now, in three packages: $300 for 750 minutes, $1,000 for 3,000 minutes and $2,500 for 10,000 minutes. That's three, six and 12 months, respectively.

The plain, white, somewhat egg-shaped speaker hovers over a round base, which LG calls the Levitation Station. The Levitating Portable Speaker (aka PJ9) uses electromagnets inside the Levitation Station (which sits beneath the speaker itself) to keep the speaker afloat. While a 360-degree omnidirectional speaker sits inside the floating unit, the Levitation Station has a subwoofer embedded within to improve the sound quality.
Perhaps the most valuable feature of the PJ9 is its 10-hour battery life. When it runs out of juice, the floating unit automatically descends to the base station to recharge.
Finally, LG says that the PJ9 is equipped with Multipoint technology, which gives it the ability to connect to two Bluetooth devices at once. LG will reveal more about the speaker at CES 2017.

Brett Belen has been a builder of solar electric vehicles for years, he chose a 1973 iconic volkswagen bus for its interior cabin volume and surface area of its roof. The roof is comprised of 4,305 watt LG panels, with the 1,220 watt array pivots in the front of the van. the space above can be accessed from below via the van’s ‘moon roof’. actuators tilt the array up to a maximum of about 40°, adjustable for maximizing output.
"The battery bank of this EV is currently a set of 12 Trojan T-1275 lead-acid batteries sitting in a custom battery box under the rear bench seat just in front of the rear wheels, and although this electric 'gas tank' only provides a range of up to 50 miles per charge, the choice of lead-acid batteries was a matter of affordability, according to Brett. "For three times the price, I could have installed some lithium iron phosphate batteries, but I'm trying to make a point about the affordability of such a vehicle," he said. It takes a bit longer than a day to fully charge the battery bank (which also depends on the length of the day and the geographical location), and an average day of charging at the Belens' house in Ashland, Oregon is said to produce a range of about 15-20 miles of city driving. The vehicle can also be charged via grid connection, with a full battery recharge taking about two hours and 20 minutes (using two 20 A chargers)."
The original EV conversion project set the Belens back about $25,500, including the cost of the bus itself and an interior overhaul, and all of the various electric drive controller and charging system components necessary.

MONO Lamp by designer Simon Forgacs. It was inspired by his childhood fascination of TV test cards. Currently it is funding on the indiegogo.
"As a child, I was fascinated by how cool test cards looked on the TV screen. The strange geometrical shapes, vivid colours, and the fact that they lived inside the same box where Star Wars and Back to the Future did, mesmerised me every time. It made no sense at all, but I still loved it.
This was a time before the Internet or computer games, a time when TV was the ultimate symbol of technology at my fingertips. Looking at a test card was like looking under the hood of a complex machine. With time test cards became a symbol of a dominant era of TV history and I wanted to capture some of it in a symbolic object, this is how MONO LAMP was born
