This is the project to reinvent desktop human-computer interaction. This project called 10/GUI.
"This video examines the benefits and limitations inherent in current mouse-based and window-oriented interfaces, the problems facing other potential solutions, and visualizes my proposal for a completely new way of interacting with desktop computers."

Nah, i'm not really into this.
So we now have a keyboard for type and for a full experience we should have a keyboard to instead of a mouse...

Naaaaah.

Why not move it to the next level and have a keyboard built into the touch pad activated by a bottom edge trigger. Replacing something is always good but when you can combine things why not. The keys could be slightly raised points on the pad with raised dots on them for hand position. The only downfall I see so far is for people who are on more than the casual user. I can see callused finger tips becoming an issue from sliding the tips around all day.

and we can't forget the fact we have ONE dominant hand. I really can't move my left hands in strange positions the whole day. Like strechting my left fingers (the zoom-in effect).

Gotta say that it kinda look like the new trackpad from mac....

the way you use two, three, four or five fingers to interact with the screen or windows.

Anyway, just love the presentation video... great job

Ummm...

⌘-Tab then "click"
faster and easier.

I know progress is great, but "artists" need to stop designing. "Artists" can put the finishing touches/details.

I appreciate any forward thinking relating to computers.  Nicely put together.

In regards to software in the last 20 years, I think the move from shortcut keys to relying on mouse only (for example to open a file or application) is a mistake.
